Phosphate Test Strips

Phosphates can get into the pool and hot tub from fertilizers, runoff, and even tap water. If your phosphate level is above 200 ppb, your water is not as clear as it should be, and you are using too many chemicals to keep it clean.

The team at Think Minerals scoured the earth for the best phosphate test strips for the money, and we have found these. They are the best overall for cost, speed, and accuracy.

Our phosphate test strips use the ‘liquid color comparator’ method. Whereas most ‘dip-and-read’ test strips are just dipped in water for the pad to change color, our strips use a test tube filled with water, and the reagents on the strips change the color of the water in the tube. This method is more accurate, and the colors are easier to read.

If your phosphate level is above 200 ppb, we recommend using a phosphate remover like Natural Chemistry PHOSfree.

It’s important to test for phosphates monthly to ensure the level isn’t creeping up.
