Directions for Use

It’s important to confirm that the stain is from copper before proceeding. This product will not work well on brown iron stains or organic stains. Use a copper test to confirm that the water is high in copper before using this product.

Copper Stain Removal

Copper stains can appear on the sides or bottom of the pool as blue/green or black patches.

1. Test for copper and make sure the level is 0.5 ppm or higher
2. Sprinkle the product on the water over the stained area until the stain
   is completely covered
3. Wait for the product to dissolve and disappear
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain is reduced or removed
5. Use a metal remover to remove excess dissolved copper from the
   water and prevent re-staining.

To remove blue/green or black stains from pool sides or other surfaces

1. Wet a sponge with water
2. Sprinkle Copper Control on the sponge liberally
3. Rub the sponge with the Copper Control lightly on the stained area
4. Repeat until the stain is removed
